I've been running Red Hat Linux on my OB for almost
a year now. I'm considering changing it to a more
embedded distro. I've considered Bering LEAF distro,
but I'll check out pebble as well.

One thing you could do to save the log files is to
set up syslog to log them on a remote server. That
is what I plan on doing if I can ever find the time.
