hello,

I found the openbrick site the other night and it looks like something I've
been looking for for a while - a super-quiet, compact linux compatible
platform that I can have running all the time in my living room as a combined
internet firewall / connection sharer and also plugged into my hi-fi as an
mp3 jukebox and internet radio player. (I've just started setting up an old
pentium for this, but it's so noisy I won't be able to leave it on all the
time, which was part of the point)

I have a couple of questions:
- one idea i had was to fit a small lcd display so i can use it without
monitor/tv. A 2 lines / 20 characters display would just about fit the height
of the openbrick, and it says in the specs that there is an internal
connection to an extra serial port which could be used to drive this. (4
lines would be better, but too big for the box) Is there actually space
behind the front panel to put something like this in? (I'm planning to test
the system on my old machine first, but I just want to know whether to buy a
small display that would fit the OB if I get one in the end, or a bigger one
that would be nicer to use, but would need to have a seperate case outside
the OB box).
- Also, are there any plans to include a DVD rom / CD-rewriter drive for
playing movies and CDs etc., or could you connect one to a usb port? Is the
openbrick fast enough to play DVD movies?
