Still alive ? Openbrick for VLC

Hello,

I'd like to know if the OpenBrick community is still alive and kicking
?

If yes, has anybody some experience in running the VideoLan Client on
it ? It looks like there is only support for XFree 3.3.6 on the
OpenBrick while the VLC needs XFree 4.x. Thank you very much in advance
for any answer.
