Programming size

This is something I probably knew at one point but don't remember. 
When you program a Rabbit module, RCM3000 in this case, using the RFU, does something other than the rabbit binary get programmed into the flash? 
I have a binary file that is 522,882 bytes, but the RFU says it sent 529,228 bytes. I thought the Rabbit BIOS was part of the binary file. Is there something else going on that I forgot?
