Make sure to use their code examples, how to use Port A for stdio and yourio, Port B is a challenge, but works after all is loaded. Rabbits rock!

You will have more than enough experience i had a very similar task within 3 months of starting work. 
Look at the development kit schematics as a starting point, note that serial B is used for the serial flash so avoid using that as an external UART.

I have less than 2 years experience in hardware designing and I was assign to use the schematics for the RCM6700 on digi.com to design necessary documents needed to manufacture 10- 15 mother/interface board.  This board must have 3 UART, backup, and a Ethernet port.  How difficult is it to accomplish this task with my level of experience?  Or should I seek professional help, if so where?  Thanks
