ReplayTV mpeg files

I've been playing with using CinemaSix to play MPEG2 files recorded by a 
ReplayTV 5040.  If I pass the files through VLC and output to a .ts file (with 
no re-encoding), then they will play fine.  If I try to open and play the .mpg 
(PS) directly in CinemaSix, I just get a black screen, or sometimes I get 
wildly scrambled video.

It seems that it would be just a matter of massaging the headers and 
multiplexing to get the .mpg file to play directly with CinemaSix.  Has anyone 
looked into this, and/or gotten the raw .mpg files from a ReplayTV to work?  I 
have a couple short clips, if someone with MPEG2 expertise wants to look them 
over.

Also, I am able to stream data directly from the ReplayTV, through DVArchive 
(stream in from the ReplayTV, stream out through http), then through VLC 
(stream in from http, convert PS to TS, streaming out through http), and 
finally stream that http into CinemaSix and play the stream on the Roku.  I 
just have to set up VLC to open "http://192.168.0.3:8042/replayShow.mpg?
DVR=Lime&ShowID=1083715197" and stream output to http, then run "CinemaSix.cmd 
http://192.168.0.3:1234/" on the Roku.  

A little convoluted, but it plays the video well, so it appears that things are 
very close to being able to make a GUI on the Roku that directly interfaces and 
plays video from a ReplayTV!
