Ok, I don't know anything about Linux, programming, or how roku HD1000 or ximeta's NetDisk work, but here's my laughable question to you Linux/HD1000 gurus. Ximeta makes a NetDisk Driver for Linux Redhat 9.0 and the HD1000's OS seems to be Linux enabled. Is there anyway to get these guys to work together? The NetDisk is a more affordable option to high priced NAS drives. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of L Sent: Thursday, May 13, 2004 12:19 PM To: 'Roku Tech Mail List and Discussion Group' Subject: RE: [Roku-tech] NAS Storage solutions Been thinking about the Iogear Boss, but I have ximeta's NetDisk NDAS. Has anyone tried connecting one of these? -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Thaddeus Buzolich Sent: Thursday, May 13, 2004 11:43 AM To: Roku Tech Mail List and Discussion Group Subject: Re: [Roku-tech] NAS Storage solutions I've been using the Linksys EFG80, and just upgraded to the EFG250 because I needed more space than 120GB. Now I have two 250GB drives, one backing up the other. It's simple to setup. I have one share for apps, one for music, one for photos, and one for movies (Getting ahead of myself with the movies, but I have faith in Roku). Sure you can save money by using an old computer and put linux on it, but setup was 10 minutes, includes a print server, small footprint, low power use, and it's fairly quiet.
