Giving up on making HD1000 work...

I have been unsuccessful to make the HD1000 work reliably since I
bought the unit a couple of weeks back. I thought I will seek help
from this forum as a last resort before I return the unit.

My setup is as follows:

- DSL from Comcast
- Netgear WGT624 Wi-Fi router
- Netgear MA101 USB adapter attached to the HD1000
- iMac

Configuring the wireless setup was relatively painless. The HD1000
does get assigned an IP address from the DHCP server - the only issue
I am facing is after the wireless setup is completed, I get a message
to reboot the HD1000 and when I do, the HD1000 does not boot and hangs
with the "Loading Roku OS..." message. The workaround for this issue
is to unhook the Netgear adapter before rebooting.

Next I added my iMac account in the Setup->Network Shares screen and
this step completes after a few minutes. The bahavior of the unit from
this point has been inconsistent, sometimes the network shares show up
and I am able to navigate to the images/music and view/play them but
most other times they do not.

I do not have WEP enabled and turned Windows sharing on in the iMac
Sharing preferences. I should mention that a couple of times when Roku
is not able to access the shares, I checked the Sharing preferences
and the Windows sharing somehow got turned off and I had to turn it on
back again. This happened a couple of times and I have not figured out
why this happens.

In summary, I have been able to make the unit access and play/display
tunes/images stored on the iMac over a wireless network for a few
hours but have not been successful to make it work consistently
without going through the entire setup process every time I try to
access the media files on the iMac.

I do have the latest version of the firmware and I have read every
document/fac on the Roku website to get this unit to work. Customer
service was unresponsive except for the first time when I contacted
them to report the initial issues that I was facing.

Any insight from members of this forum with a similar setup will be appreciated.
