Re: Review of HD1000 at Digital Producer. (Not entirelypositive)

It may well be a terrible review, but it certainly mirrors my
experience with the piece of crap HD-1000. I have to reboot the !@#$%^&
thing virtually every time I want to use it. It cannot remember the
path to my networked (via Tbase100 Ether) from one session to another.
Every time I turn it on it goes off looking for "music" on my hard
drive. I DON"T HAVE ANY MUSIC ON MY COMPUTER! I don't use the Roku for
music because I cannot STAND to listen to MP3s. If it just stayed in
that mode for a few minutes, I wouldn't mind so much but it has to
search the entire 160 gigs for "music" which doesn't exist. It takes
seemingly HOURS. Its also slow, the remote is unresponsive, and the
picture quality is not as good as I expected (even with 6megapixel
source material). I' don't blame the reviewer, I'm not real happy with
the HD1000 either and even less happy with Roku's almost non-existent
technical/post sales support. Wished I'd read such a review before I
dropped $300 on this all but worthless lump.....
