Even running in 1080i mode, the actual resolution used by the Roku
hardware is like 1024x560 or something similar to that (I forget
exactly, but it's not too far off). Because of this, I would assume that
1 megapixel photos would look just as good as 6 megapixel photos 8-)

That's what I've observed in using the SDK, at least.
