Query regarding HD1000

Hi
Got ur email from roku's site. Sorry to bother you like this. I have few questions and hope you would be able to help me out.
1. Is the server software from Roku, also available in source form?
2. How is your player different from the tool that comes with HD1000 that allows you to view video files?
3. Is there a way to use HD1000 as
a. PVR
b. For video chat
c. Listening to music and video from internet (Is this what ur player does?)
4. How would u compare PRISM IQ media player with HD1000. Prism IQ seems to be providing internet connection.
I am bit new to this field and hence you may find some of the questions trivial
