if you use the method documented in the tech note below, it does not require any linux knowledge. it is okay to put your app on the same CF card as the swapfile. You can also put your app on any of the memory cards we have slots for. ----- http://www.rokulabs.com/support/technote-hang.php This page also includes a swap.roku program you can download to extend your HD1000 memory via a Compact Flash card (turns on a swap file via a GUI). --- anthony ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peter Kirkpatrick" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, June 11, 2004 5:28 AM Subject: [Roku-tech] Re: How to make a swapfile > > > CanI/Should I put the swapfile > directly on the card with the app? > Can I put a swapfile in the CF slot > And move the arpakes to other media? > Someone here mentioned putting a > swapfile on a networked computer. > Does it need to be hardwired > or can it be wireless? > How is it done? > > > > > _______________________________________________ > Roku-tech mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.rokulabs.com/mailman/listinfo/roku-tech >
