I currently use the slimp3server software which produces amongst other things a stream.mp3 via http. So you control the music playing via the http interface from your pc and then point the vlc client on the HD1k to http://your_pc_ip:9000/stream.mp3. Works a treat. Would like some clever soul to write an application which controls via hd1k too or even just an interface on the hd1k so you can see the currently playing track on screen. All this information is available via http requests from the slimp3server. Sorry if the slimp3server work is swearing here. Scott PS My first week with the HD1k, love the telnet feature feel really at home.
