Basically yes. But you won't get 250 MB/s as there is much overhead. I would calculate about 180-200MB/s max.
But yes, your gigabit-card should work. But you should watch, if you really can get this.
I am only getting about 60-80 MB/s with samba, as the CPU (1.6 GHz version) is too slow for samba.
