Sounds like an incompatibility with Disk Basic. Try it with the disk controller unplugged.

There is also disk-based software around that will do the equivalent of giving a Color Basic environment.

Subject: [Coco] Programmer's Guild loading errors

Note: This message originated from outside the FIU Faculty/Staff email system.

All — I have both Pac-Droids and Ninja Warrior on original cassette. Loading them via CLOADM on a 64K Coco 1 — and for both games, I get about 3 seconds into the cassette load and get a screen scramble (which tells me it’s likely writing over the wrong portion of memory). On the game instructions there is no mention of CLEAR or PCLEAR or anything. But if you’re me, what types of commands would you test in advance of the CLOADM to see if the right amount of memory is cleared?

Thank you for any guidance!

Chris
