Does this thing have something over the Buffalo Linkstation or Linksys
NSLU2?

If not, I'd stick to those.  They're hackable (meaning you can run an
iTunes/DAAP/Squeezebox server on them, or any of a number of other
Linux add-ons), and (it seems) cheaper.

I got a 160GB Linkstation a few months ago and love it.  It sits on my
desk but I can barely tell it's on, it's so quiet.  All the machines in
the house can access music off of it from iTunes, and the AudioTron
accesses it over SMB.  My Macs and PCs also back up important files to
it (with Retrospect Express, not included).
