Use a *nix box running samba. Works for me... was running on a P200
(non-MMX) with 64MB RAM quite happily!

It's now running on an XP2800+ with 512MB RAM and 570GB disk space, but
only cos the old one died.

As for headless... well, you can download putty and ssh into the box,
don't need a KVM switch.
