  Although I agree that TB has handled customer relations "rather
  poorly," this statement is quite true.

  Regardless, from a legal product development stand-point it would be
  wise to take the discussion else-where.  Although I'm not a
  lawyer, it seems that if this proposed device came to market with
  some new and interesting features, TB would have some clam to that--
  after all, the ideas, designs, and product development are happening
  in a forum hosted and deployed on TB company resources.  It isn't
  unlike using TB's photocopier and mailroom to mail out surveys to
  their customers and then saying TB has no claim to the data
  gathered from such product surveys, or the products developed from
  such data.  Remember, logic and common sense rarely enters the world
  of laws and lawyers.

  My personal take is that if you feel abandoned by TB, then return
  the favor-- you can be darn sure I'll never buy another new TB
  product.  The only reason I'm still on the list is for announcements
  of used ATs for sale.
