Workshop invitation
Join us for the first Workshop on Conversational Interfaces for Agentic Web browsing (CIAW), held in conjunction with CUI2026<https://cui.acm.org/2026/>, in Bremen 🇩🇪, from 21st–24th July!
During this workshop, we will engage with researchers and practitioners to discuss and co-design the future of web interactions in the age of Agentic AI. 🤖
To participate, submit a position paper or statement of interest by 3 June 2026.
Notification of acceptance will bi sent by 9 June 2026.
Abstract
As AI features are increasingly integrated in web browsers and search engines, web browsing is shifting from a paradigm relying on rich graphical user interfaces to one that increasingly integrates conversational interaction.
This introduces a new layer of abstraction between users and web interfaces, where tasks can be expressed in natural language and delegated to intelligent agents that navigate, retrieve, and synthesize information on the user’s behalf. However, we still lack interaction design frameworks that ensure these experiences are transparent, ethical, and inclusive.
Join this workshop to discuss these challenges and envision how we can build an inclusive “conversation-first” web.
