ASSETS'26 workshop on co-designing with people with diverse abilities

Dear colleagues, A few days left to submit to our ASSETS 2026 workshop on designing "with," not "for," people with diverse abilities. Our workshop "Designing With, Not For: Inclusive Methodologies for Co-designing With People With Diverse Abilities” aims is to bring together researchers, designers, and practitioners working with people with diverse abilities (older adults, neurodivergent individuals, people with disabilities, and more) to map out what inclusive methodological practice actually looks like. We are especially interested in the tacit know-hows, adaptations, and workarounds that rarely make it into publications but shape how the work gets done. The workshop runs virtually on October 21, in two time blocks (10:00-12:00 and 16:00-18:00 CEST) so people in different time zones can join at a reasonable hour. We welcome position papers (2-4 pages) and alternative formats such as pictorials or short videos. Deadline: 18 August 2026 If the holidays have left you short on time to prepare a position paper, please feel free to send us a brief expression of interest instead.
