Re: Perception & visual display course

I am very interested in the study of perception related to visual display.
Recently I read an article on basic aspects of visual processing that can
be used in applications for telecommunication technology. The examples that
were given are the role of color, depth and motion perception in visual
display quality and teleconferencing. The ultimate goal is to find out what
information is important for our visual system and what is not. Then use
this information in the field of telecommunication. I am sure there are
many students like me who are interested to know which characteristics of
the visual scene have to be communicated and which can be deleted from the
initial data-set in visual system for use in mobile communications.
