This special session explores the intersection of AI and XR as transformative tools for smart healthcare metrology within the Industry 4.0 paradigm. The rapid evolution of XR is transforming human=E2=80=93machine interaction by blurri= ng the boundaries between digital and physical worlds, while AI enhances immersive environments through intelligent perception, adaptive content generation, and personalized interaction. In healthcare metrology, the synergy between AI and XR opens new opportunities to improve measurement accuracy, uncertainty management, traceability, and usability across clinical, biomedical, and rehabilitation contexts. AI-driven capabilities such as object, spatial, and gesture recognition, intelligent virtual agents, and data-driven decision support can be integrated into XR-based measurement and calibration workflows, enabling realistic simulations, real-time feedback, and intelligent supervision. The special session aims to bring together researchers and practitioners to present methodologies, frameworks, and applications that leverage AI-enhanced XR to advance smart, reliable, and user-centered healthcare measurement systems, while also addressing challenges related to validation, interoperability, and regulatory compliance. TOPICS The list of topics includes (but is not limited to) the following: - AI-driven real-time personalization of immersive healthcare interfaces. - Multimodal interaction (speech, gesture, gaze) for medical metrology. - Uncertainty quantification and data-driven decision support in XR. - AI-enhanced XR for clinical, biomedical, and rehabilitation measurements= . - Validation, interoperability, and regulatory compliance of AI-XR systems= . - Intelligent virtual agents for supervised healthcare monitoring. - Machine learning for high-dimensional biomedical data in immersive environments. - XR-based measurement and calibration workflows.
