I think the best preparation/tools for students exiting school and entering job search is a portfolio. would you believe this is a black box for students currently? I have only seen some schools graze this subject. I think a good capstone topic would be the granular detail that is circulates the thought process/developement/execution/delivery of the portfolio.

I find I will be taking over the capstone classes in my departments
Graphic Design program. We are a smallish generalized program, at the
moment, on the verge of a major overhaul.

The question: What, in your opinion, should an undergrad student have
in their mental toolkit as they exit a graphic design program?

Any advice from this group would be appreciated!
