What a very cool thing to have created a potential opportunity for someone you feel is deserving!

I hope we clearly outlined the selection and communication process on the Google sign up page. Perhaps we did not achieve our goal.

Attendees for the workshop were selected -- through a random drawing by a neutral third party -- from among the many names who signed up. Individual interest in participation was the only criteria for a person to be entered into the drawing. 

After the drawing was held this past Monday afternoon, only the selected and wait-listed individuals were contacted. So, if your young man has not received a notice from us at the email address you entered for him when you signed him up then he is not among those selected.  

Publishing a public list of the selected names is not part of our communication plan. One reason is that the event was promoted in a wide array of locations!
