I am not entirely sure what you mean with a "visual reference" for a
"taskflow for usability", but I have a feeling the J-Flow might be of
interest.

To have a look at an example of the J-Flow, our in-house developed
presentation format for screenflows and wireframes, click on the link "HTML
deliverable" on:

The 5.5MB big presentation that can be downloaded from that page explains
the ideas behind the J-Flow and was given by my colleague and I at this
year's Information Architecture Summit.
