Looking for a temperature reading. Humor me.

Every new phrase, practice or collection of practices has its nascent
phase. I'm curious about just *how* nascent the concept and practice of
"experience design" is today. I suspect that a look at our current jobs
would provide a useful gauge.

So. Who on this list is doing something you formally call Experience
Design on the job, or offering it to clients who understand it? I'm
referring specifically to the practice of ED with a capital-E and a
capital-D, as it relates to assessing and orchestrating the multitude
of touchpoints that create impressions and build relationships.

And if you're doing it, how have you articulated your role amidst
practitioners of "usability," "interaction design," "interface design,"
"user experience" or even "brand strategy?" How was/is this concept
received by your organizations, coworkers, or clients?

Please respond directly -- I'll post results to the list.

Thanks,

N
