Nice observation, toss the buzzword and think about the process. Architecture is the original "experience design." Gothic cathedrals and Renaissance gardens are two examples that leap immediately to mind. Some of us believe architecture is a requirement for a true experience: If you agree that "experience" implies physicality, architecture is where your body meets the environment. If you are in the interface development "space," you know that the word "architecture" was appropriated early on for information and site design; a successful story depends on a well structured script; for pure intellectual activity I refer you to the technique of building a Memory Palace.
