Hi there. I am new to this group, but hoping I can ask for some help. I am in search of a text book or list of texts for a course on UCD/ED. The text I am looking for is for a 3rd year university course I am designing which focuses on Experience design within a "Culture, Communication, and Information Technology" Program. The students would be looking a variety of technologies and working in teams on a design project/research. They will have the option to investigate "Ambient Intelligence", "gaming", "animation", interface design, "Information Appliances" as well as web options. The course is not for engineers and looks at the theory in an applied model (the class has 120 students), and will most likely look at , user and experience research, paper prototyping, and group presentation of their designs (rather than a final product). Currently I am condisdering: Interaction Design: beyond human-computer interaction by Preece, Rogers, Sharp but would greatly appreciate any suggestions, or links to great articles.
