Your new stuff generates nice pdf files.  But it is generating blank thumbnails
for the pages (minor nit we should work on).

Contrary to your last posting, I do think postscript files are important.
But I'm not attached to the way we were creating them, and hence I am willing
to drop them for now, and try to add them back in later in a better manor.

My pdf images are nice and clear, or at least as clear as the png files we
started with ;)
