Sorry - I missed the meeting because of 'customer activity' and even now I
need to get on-line to a customer site and sort some stuff out.

Do you have anything I can look at explaining why there is a need to get
involved with spi-inc.org?

I understand the need to improve the 'management' side of the project, and
having lost the battle for recognition by Eclipse, that something else may be
required. A discussion on that may be appropriate - somewhere we can all get
involved? On-line undocumented activity is not the way to go .... The one
thing we realised in the Firebird Foundation was that 'meetings' must be
conducted on an email list so that everybody can see and contribute. Having
been treasurer of that for a couple of years, I appreciate the problems of
project management, and only stepped down because of a change to work load.

I see the trac changes - not a format I've ever got on with and something else
to distract from progress :( Why the HELL are we using a Python powered system
for a PHP based project !!!! ( And it does not support Firebird so I would
never even bother to list it as an option ;) )

PHPEclipse is providing my day to day development needs in parallel with C++
and other standards that Eclipse supports. I would love to see PHPEclipse
recognised by the Eclipse project - PDT is not something I ever want to bother
with - but I am getting some negative vibes from the changes that are being
made and proposed at present!

Now I have 2 hours to sort out another site ...
