Re: Komodo with SubVersion

I dont mean to stamp on all the good talk about Subversion but I was
reading this as a backup issue rather than a problem with keeping
track of development project.

RSync is probably best for taking "snapshots" (I use the term snapshot
loosly) of your system if you want to be able to backup without taking
lots of space up keeping those incremental backups.

We use this at work to monitor/sync several terabytes worth of data on
Windows (Vista/XP) with linux storage.  We also back up the Macs we
have using a similar setup but thats another story.

If your interested research (ie google):
'rsync hardlinks'
'cygwin 1.7  RSync'
'deltacopy'

Subversion is great if you have a development project you want to keep
track of when you are working with several people or multiple
different lines of development.  Im sure there are many more reasons
to use it...Im trying to keep this brief :)
