It's possible you are running into this bug:

   http://bugs.activestate.com/show_bug.cgi?id=73749

Are there any symlinks in the paths to the various files you are
debugging? If so, try reorganizing your project file tree without
symlinks (if that's possible) to see if that's the issue.
