I have modified some of the language-specific abbreviations included with Komodo (I have also added some new ones). When I recently accepted the upgrade to version 5.1.4, the modified abbreviations no longer worked. Instead, Komodo used the "upgrade" version of the abbreviation. What I observe is that each upgrade creates a new "Samples (5.x.x)" folder in the Toolbox. For example, I now have the following folders: Samples (5.0.3) Samples (5.1.0) Samples (5.1.1) Samples (5.1.3) Samples (5.1.4) As one example, I modified the "Samples (5.0.3)/Tcl/proc" abbreviation. But Komodo only uses the "Samples (5.1.4)/Tcl/proc" abbreviation. I can fix it by deleting all the Samples folders except the one with my modifications, and/or moving my modified ones to the latest version. But this is a maintenance nightmare. Every time Komodo convinces me to accept an "upgrade", it regresses back to old abbreviations and then I have to perform manual maintenance to continue to use my set of modified abbreviations. How can I avoid this? What I want is for Komodo to always use my modified abbreviations, regardless of upgrading to the latest version. BTW, I've already blown away most of the Samples folders so it's working for me again. I just want to avoid having to do this in the future. -Tom Notice The information in this message is confidential and may be legally privileged. It is intended solely for the addressee.
