Hi Myk,

I couldn't reproduce any problems here when using Komodo 7, but one =

thing to note is that Komodo does not provide any "Open" customization, =

only default "Edit" and "Edit with" handling. I'm not sure why we don't =

also offer "Open" handling as well (I'll file a request on it).

I imagine this problem is occurring because Notepad is writing to the =

HKCU (current user) registry, whilst Komodo 7.0 is writing to the HKLM =

(local machine) registry... and in case of a conflict the HKCU (Notepad) =

will have priority.

Note that we've already made changes for the upcoming Komodo 7.1 release =

to remedy this HKLM v's HKCU issue.

In order to overwrite the Notepad association, you'll need to use =

Explorer and right-click on a .json file and then tweak the associations =

that way.
