My apologies - what I didn't make clear was that the slider
interface was purely conceptual, and just our way of describing what
we're thinking about and setting out to define further.

It's possible that you'd get to the slider interface by first
viewing a thumbnail page and clicking on the product that looks like
the closest starting point. This would be in line with the goal for
this interface - which is to allow users to browse products, begin
to shape a custom solution by using something along the lines of the
slider interface, then jump from there into a very detailed, very
powerful product configurator/modeller where a client-specific
solution is specced out.

The tool mentioned in the last step already exists, but the issue we
see is getting users past it's "blank slate" starting point - much
like the MSOffice tools provide different document or presentation
templates as starting points.

I'll keep an eye on your tool, thanks for the response.
