Reading course on facets

I've been lurking for months, but I've got a question. I'm doing my
master's at the library school at the University of Toronto, and this term
I'm doing a reading course (under Prof. Clare Beghtol) about faceted
classification.

I'm doing a bunch of reading now, and I'll be making an annotated
bibliography, then writing a paper on how to make a faceted classification
and put it online, and then finishing off with a project where I do just
that and discuss how it went. I'm not sure what subject area I'll do,
though readers' advisory about fiction would be really interesting. I'll
put the biblio and final project up on my web site, and the essay if it
turns out.

About the bibliography: I've got the classics covered, and I've found a
number of recent articles in KNOWLEDGE ORGANIZATION and journals like
that. Most of these are mentioned in biblios already online (eg [1]).
I'll be searching abstract and citation indexes, of course, but has anyone
here written an article about making a faceted system, or read one that's
absolutely crucial I shouldn't miss? If so, please drop me a note, and
I'll summarize back to the list or just give the URL of the full biblio
when it's up.

Cheers,

Bill
