No, it just identifies the possible "roles", i.e. roughly the facets, <http://www.aib.it/aib/gris/t/g212a.htm3> in a subject string; but roles are coordinated just by listing them according to the citation order, separated by the generic coordination symbol "--". "I think that having facet indicators/operators as prefix to terms is the only way of getting somewhere in automated system." Or use a faceted classification with expressive notation, instead of just subject headings :-) Actually it looks like PRECIS went close to be a true classification, if just one would translate verbal headings into a notation...
