Any subject, selected from one of these facets, can be described,
categorized, and queried across any combination of these same facet items.
The result is operational use is a self-refining and expanding enterprise
knowledge base in the form of a six-dimensional datawarehouse, operating as
a core enterprise database.

This approach is useful at individual, group, organization, community, and
global scales.

The schema design I use allows these various applications of GEM, and its
component basic enterprise architecture methodology (BEAM) data sets to be
dynamically and transparently merged and separated, supporting dynamic
(e.g., task specific) realignment of organizations, functions, processes,
resources, and requirements within or across different locations.

I call the result an "intelligent endeavor".

This sounds very similar to the approach I'm taking with my architecture. 
 
Wouldn't it be cool if someone recognized that the categories that manage  
financial information in a drill down (faceted) manner could be used to
manage  
content in the same way? Instead of rolling up dollar amounts, you could
roll 
up  collections of content. 
 
The principles are the same - and with faceted classification, you can
still 
find the individual 'entries' like a check register while gaining the  
benefit of linking to the categories to give different views. 
 
I like it! I look forward to loking at GEM when your site gets back on its  
feet.
