However, since new spammers will sign up using special software that 
signs them up to dozens of groups at once, it is important that you opt 
for the choice of approving each new member. I own a Yahoo list (Getting 
Things Done) with more than 1200 members, and we have never had a spam 
incident because I approve each member -- it takes only seconds, and it 
avoids the spam.
