I just want to give some thoughts on this topic. I am not attempting at any answers . My objective is to start a good discussion on thesaurus representation. If we take this example of "Airplane" it is an "ENTITY / CONCRETE OBJECT / THING ". A Concrete Object may have its Species / Types : "Supersonic Airplane" for instance. It may have its Parts : "Landing Gear" for instance. It may have Properties : Flight Range, Speed etc. It may perform certain Actions: Diving, Rolling If the terms are grouped this way in the thesaurus then it almost corresponds to faceted representation. Hope this helps. I would appreciate comments and criticism. F.J.
