Workbook design literature?

Can anyone recommend any good books on workbook design based on sound
instructional design principles? The workbooks in question are ancillary
material for professional training sessions that vary in length from a few
hours to a full day. I have found Karen A. Schriver's Dynamics in Document
Design and am looking for more books in that category (research based).
