The 2025 ISKO UK Conference, "Knowledge Organization in the Age of AI: 
Innovation, Integration and Impact", will take place online on 7 October 
2025.

The conference features a selection of invited talks on topics critical 
to the mutual reinforcement of knowledge organization systems (KOSs) 
applications, and advances in generative AI.

Speakers will showcase innovative approaches to improving the quality of 
KOSs and knowledge discovery in the AI-supported environments. Examples 
will include terminology generation to improve KOSs and AI-assisted term 
selection in the process of searching. Equally, we will learn about the 
potential of high-quality KOSs for improving resource discovery through 
GenAI in general and LLMs in particular.

Knowledge organization is at the core of systems for helping users to 
define their information needs and for retrieving and presenting the 
information to fill this need. Therefore, this conference should be of 
interest to information professionals and researchers in the broader

improving how findability can and should work.
