LA-WEB 2007 - Final Call for Papers - Deadline May 25th

FINAL CALL FOR PAPERS LA-WEB 2007 -5th Latin American Web Congress

Introduction

LA-Web 2007 is the fifth of a series of refereed conferences aimed at
providing a venue in Latin America for researchers and technologists
from around the world to present, demonstrate and discuss the latest
Web developments. LA-Web 2007 will be held in Santiago de Chile.

LA-WEB 2007 is endorsed by the IW3C2 International World Wide Web
Conference Committee and its proceedings will be published by the IEEE
Computer Society Press. This year, the first day of LA-WEB will hold
joint-sessions along with SPIRE 2007.

We invite high quality papers describing original work in all areas of
Web research.

Papers should properly place the work in the context of the
conference's theme, cite related work, and clearly indicate its
innovative aspects and contributions to the field.

Papers must be submitted electronically via the conference's website,
and must be formatted using the IEEE-CS guidelines (see below).

We encourage authors to submit concise papers of up to 8 pages;
however, papers up to 10 pages long may be submitted, and two
additional pages (for a maximum of 12) may be purchased later.

Location

LA-Web 2007 will be held in Santiago de Chile. Santiago is a 6 million
people Metropolis surrounded by mountains and full of cultural
activities and nightlife. Downtown Santiago has a mix of historical
buildings and modern crystal towers, some of its historical highlights
include La Moneda, the mint house which functions as the Palace of
Government, which citizens and visitors can walk through. On
privileged clean-air days, you can ascend the Metropolitan Park at
Cerro San Cristobal for a great overview of the city and its
surroundings. In its foothills you can also visit one of Pablo
Neruda's houses.

Santiago is also only one hour apart from the coast and the mountains,
serving as a great base camp for short trips from the city. Valparaiso
in the Pacific Ocean, and Valle Nevado or Cajon del Maipo in the Andes
range are some typical examples of these trips. Accommodation in
Santiago is broad and wide, you can choose from luxurious 5 star
hotels to warm Bn'Bs.

Notification of acceptance: July 16 , 2007
Camera-ready version of accepted papers: August 17, 2007
LA-Web Conference: October 31st to November 2nd, 2007
Note: October 31st will be held as a joint session with SPIRE 2007
