Job Description: The Customer Intelligence group is responsible for
delivering business insights and high impact analyses to the North American
eBay.com business.

Within this group, teams partner with business unit clients to address
strategic and operational questions facing the business including user
behavior, supply and demand dynamics, performance measurement, and product
and marketing efficiency.

We are currently looking for a Manager to join the team and focus on the
seller side of the business. This individual will utilize their exceptional
problem-solving, strategy, analytic and communication skills to help
improve the overall seller experience on eBay and drive incremental growth.

In the process, this person will develop a deep understanding of the
eBay.com business, further strengthen their strategy and analytic skills,
and gain exposure to various functional and business teams within North
America.

Skills required:
Business Analytics

Drive analyses that guide strategy and operating decisions.
Creatively apply business and analytic experience to the formulation and
testing of new business hypotheses.
Evaluate large and complex data sets, and apply advanced quantitative
approaches in hypothesis evaluation.
Develop new frameworks, models and processes that operationalize key
insights.
Become expert in leveraging the full breadth of eBay data sources and
analytic resources.
Project Management
Partner with various groups in the organization to determine, design and
execute projects.
Manage and execute entire projects from start to finish Communication &
Relationships
Persuasively communicate business insights across the organization,
especially to the North American eBay leadership team.
Develop and nurture strong relationships across the organization.
The role is data and analytically intensive. Successful candidates will
offer a strategic perspective, sound business judgment, deep analytical
capabilities, and a collaborative working style. They will possess strong
intellectual curiosity, and a passion for achieving practical business
impact.
Skills in problem definition, rigorous analysis, and recommendation
synthesis will also be critical. Successful candidates will have
exceptional interpersonal skills, initiative and integrity.


Exceptional business judgment and analytic ability. - Strong interpersonal
skills including ability to present insights and recommendations
persuasively.
Skill and confidence in dealing with people at all levels of the
organization are essential.
Minimum 3-5 years in relevant role(s) (e.g., strategic consulting,
financial analysis, or database marketing)
Strong academic profile with an emphasis on quantitative skill (e.g.,
degree in Mathematics, Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science or
Engineering). MBA preferred.
Expert Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills are required.
Familiarity with data warehouse architecture, data query tools and
languages (e.g., SQL, SAS) are highly recommended.
Intellectual curiosity, passion for problem-solving, and comfort with
ambiguity.
High energy and a desire to work in a results-oriented, fast growth
environment.
Ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment while juggling multiple
responsibilities.
