Roles:
Bring state of the art IR science practices to Medio by way of literature
survey, analysis, and implementation
Interface with program and product teams to explain IR science principals
in practical terms for the development of evaluation practices, tuning,
marketing materials, and specifications.
Interface with the relevant architect(s) and engineers to provide
appropriate IR algorithms for implementation, evaluation and tuning cycles.
Develop key IR-specific components of our evolving search systems:
evaluation frameworks, new ranking strategies, etc.
Support filing of applicable IR patents
Short Term Potential Assignments:
WAP Search relevancy evaluation practices
WAP Search relevancy tuning
WAP Search integration of coming personalization platform
