I got message from Conrad Newton. He has been modifying Knoppix for some time
and is the one behind NordisKnoppix which has all the baltic and nordic
languages included on cd.

As you can read below more cd's are bublished soon (Snofrix). Conrad needs help
with translations. Schedule seems to be very hectic.

If anyone is interested please contact Conrad conrad.newton-gyXR7Lt7FVk/[email protected] . I
don't know myself how many pages should be translated.

Hi Sakari,

Any chance that you could organize some quick translations
from English into Finnish?  The situation is the following.

One week from Monday, the Nordic Council will meet to discuss
the use of open source software in the North.  They started
a website last year (nordicos.org) that has been little active,
but it reveals their desire to do something useful.

I have been making a new live CD (called Snofrix) at the request
of the consumer council in Norway, and the people in Norway
connected with nordicos.org want to present it at their meeting.

The version I have presently exists only in Norwegian language.

I can easily translate the software into Swedish and Finnish
by next Thursday (the CDs have to be ready by Friday), but
translating all the documentation is a larger task.

My plan is to translate all the documentation into English.

Is there any possibility that you could organize some
people to do a Finnish translation?  It is probably too
much to ask that all the web pages should be translated,
but if at least some of them could be done, it would
be a good thing.  I can indicate which pages are the
most important.

This CD will be a showcase for OpenOffice.org, and will
include both a Linux version (on the live CD), and a
Windows version that people can install at home.

Other than that, the CD has lots of games and programs
