But as Linux-Aktivaattori aims to facilitate the localisation working group where possible and where it makes sense, it is willing to host the localisation portal if this is desired by the people involved. The current list-server can also be configured so the lists appear to be under lokalisointi.org.=20 BTW I see the localisation portal and the localisation working group as separate but related. In my opinion the localisation working group=20 stimulates and possibly facilitates cooperation with and between the different teams and other organisations. Ideally the localisation portal would be the central hub facilitating this cooperation. But it isn't a requirement for a successful cooperation. As you might know, Linux-Aktivaattori is in the process of choosing a new Content Management System (CMS) [1]. We have narrowed the list of potentials CMS's down to four, Mambo, Plone, Typo3 and Drupal. And soon we will be able to test each of them. During the next general members meeting we will be making the final decision. The idea is to choose a CMS that suits our needs, including those of the projects and working groups.=20 I would like to invite all people involved in the localisation working group to help evaluate these four CMS's and make the final decision with us. Perhaps the new CMS won't be of use to the localisation portal, or perhaps it will. We can only find out with your participation. But as I said, the localisation portal can very well be hosted on a different server, and so can be the lists. But we offer the service, and you are welcome to make use of it. Even if you decide not to stay in the current working group arrangement with Linux-Aktivaattori. -Aschwin [1] Selection of new CMS http://www.linux-aktivaattori.org/view/Projects/ContentManagementSystem [2] General members meeting (5-6-2004) http://www.linux-aktivaattori.org/view/Organization/GeneralMembersMeeting= s
