I believe we reached such an agreement on the mailing list. There were no dissident voices, so I believe that the decision to separate is ok for at least most of the people who participated in the discussion. If I'm wrong, anyone disagreeing about my interpretation of the discussions should voice their opinion. > If such decision was made, I find it strange we weren't asked to participate > in such discussion. We discussed this matter on the mailing list, as well as on the IRC channel. It wasn't a very long discussion as there were no disagreeing voices from the translation groups. I believe we're over the discussion, and I don't see what more there is to "discuss". Everyone, including Linux-Aktivaattori, can CONTRIBUTE their help to localisation efforts or to anything else they wish, with no need to bow to any organisations or authorities. That's what voluntary work is about. In any case, Linux-Aktivaattori is not a translation group itself, so it has very little saying on how the groups should collaborate or otherwise organise. I have neither, but as I said, I believe we found a consensus (at least by the vocal majority) on this matter and the consensus was to continue the "organised" collaboration separate from L-A's authority. -- Marko Grönroos, [email protected] (http://www.iki.fi/magi/)
