Those of us who are not codec wonks, or are, at most codec =
wonk-wannabies, are highly entertained (and sometimes informed) by this =
discussion.  So, you have my vote to keep up the chatter here.  Given =
the plethora of codecs, encoding options, needs (quality vs. space) and =
the fact that we're all using iPods and Ephpod here...I say...yes, keep =
it going.  It beats reading the Mubutu pleas from the Congo.

As long as there isn't a disinterested, non commercial sanctioning body =
that can do triple-blind testing (whatever that would be) and tell us =
all with a definitive voice exactly what we should be using, and when =
(and as long as they've figured out that Jesus wouldn't drive an SUV, I =
assume they could also tell us what codec Jesus would prefer) ...absent =
all that, I'm very happy to hear regular folks tell of their encoding =
experiences.

So...anyone want to take a crack at the questions that Timothy Luoma =
posed earlier?
