Yes, it does appear to be a problem with the 2.0 firmware. Just connecting the iPod into the computer (without starting ephpod) causes it to lose the bookmark.=20 -shyam -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Eduardo Delgado Sent: Friday, May 30, 2003 3:22 PM To: EphPod list server Subject: [ephpod] Re: Losing my place in audible audio books when I sync... >When I listen to audiobooks from audible.com (downloaded onto the=20 iPod >with AudibleManager) the iPod usually remembers where I stopped >listening and starts again from that point the next time I play the >audiobook (great!). Prior to firmware 2.0, there was a bug on Windows iPods which made=20 them to loose audible bookmarks after a reset (this includes plugging and=20 unplugging to a computer). It's not an EphPod bug, it's an iPod bug. I don't know how's the situation with 2.0, but from what you say, it might=20 be that the bug is still there. To make sure, plug the iPod to the PC, wait=20 for it to be mounted, then don't launch EphPod at all, simply eject and=20 unplug it. Check your audible bookmarks. If they are gone, then it's the firmware. If they're there, then it's EphPod's fault. Oh, and I guess you mean EphPod 2.70, as this is the latest version=20 (check Help -> About). http://www.builderadius.com/ephpod/ephpod270a.exe HTH Eduardo Delgado [email protected] ------------------------------------------------------ ephPod Mailing List=20 FAQ and HomePage http://www.ephpod.com=20 mailto:[email protected] to susbcribe=20 mailto:[email protected] to unsusbcribe=20 mailto:[email protected] the mailing-list itself=20 ------------------------------------------------------ ephPod Mailing List FAQ and HomePage http://www.ephpod.com mailto:[email protected] to susbcribe mailto:[email protected] to unsusbcribe mailto:[email protected] the mailing-list itself
